Woman charged for pulling knife on roommate over argument about smoking in the house

31-year-old Antoinette Rucker was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after splashing Gatorade on her roommate and then pulling a knife on him over an argument about smoking in the house.

On April 8th, officers responded to a domestic disturbance at 407 Edwin Street. Upon arrival, they spoke with Devon Dye who lives at the address with Antoinette Rucker. Devon stated they got into a verbal argument over Antoinette smoking inside the house and she refused to stop.

Devon continued by saying Antoinette “splashed Gatorade” on him and then “picked up a knife” and told him to “get the hell away”, according to the report. She was taken into custody.

A few days later on April 11th, Devon reported to police that Antoinette came back to the residence and started banging on his door and window while yelling at him to come talk to her and let her in. According to the affidavit, Antoinette’s bond conditions prevented her from having any contact with Devon or coming to the residence.

Antoinette Rucker was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Her bond was set at $5,000. She was arrested again on April 11th for violation of conditional release. Her bond was set at $1,000.
