38-year-old Marlon Gomez was charged with domestic assault when he grabbed his girlfriend by the pony tail, swung her around, and hit her in the face. She had to run to get away and find help.
On May 4th, police responded to a domestic disturbance call at 5227 Tupelo Street. Officers found Marcia Stancil on the porch with blood on her chest and shirt.
She told officers that her boyfriend Marlon Gomez struck her at 5230 Tupelo Street earlier that day. She locked herself into a room as Gomez banged on the outside of the door where she hid for 2 hours before coming out, making sure that he left.
Later that night, they were in the apartment together when Gomez started saying he was sure she was cheating on him and started asking her about it. When she started to walk out of the room he grabbed her by her ponytail, swung her around, and struck her in the face twice. with a closed fist. This caused her teeth to cut into her left side cheek so she ran upstairs and made it outside to run to 5227 Tupelo for safety and to call the police.
Marlon Gomez was arrested and charged with domestic assault. His bond was set at $2,500.
