Brentwood argument escalates when wife throws scalding coffee and husband smacks her with mug

53-year-old Nancy Mayernik was charged with domestic assault when she and her husband were in a verbal confrontation that escalated when she threw a cup of scalding coffee at him. He also smashed her head with a mug.

On May 16th, officers were dispatched to 109 Chuzzlewit Down in response to a domestic incident. According to the affidavit, officers spoke to Terry Town who told them he and his wife Nancy Mayernik were arguing and he had walked outside onto their patio to avoid the conflict. He stated that Nancy followed him and chucked a “freshly made” cup of hot coffee on him.

Town advised in reflex he hit her in the dome with the coffee cup in his hand. Both parties agreed on the story and sustained significant injuries. Nancy was determined to be the primary aggressor and was arrested after being treated at the hospital.

Nancy Mayernik was arrested and charged with domestic assault and her bond was set at $1,000.
