Day drunk woman charged with 4th DUI; 12 White Claw cans found in vehicle

64-year-old Sharon Wilder was arrested for her fourth DUI after running through stop signs, red lights, almost hitting several vehicles, and oncoming traffic in a parking lot. Officers spotted two open White Claw Hard Seltzer cans from outside the vehicle.

On April 27th at 2:51 pm, dispatch put out a BOLO for a possible intoxicated driver around Andrew Jackson and Lebanon Pike. Officers spotted the vehicle driving through the Oakwood Commons Shopping Center nearly hitting several parked cars then running a stop sign inside the parking lot and another heading onto Lebanon Pike heading to Andrew Jackson. The car then ran the red light there and pulled into the Dollar General on 4491 Lebanon Pike pulling into oncoming lanes almost hitting more vehicles before coming to a complete stop taking up several parking spots.

The police conducted a search after seeing two open cans of White Claw from outside the vehicle. Sharon Wilder struggled to produce a driver’s license, registration, and insurance. Wilder also failed all the sobriety tests including a walk and turn test, horizontal gaze nystagmus test, and standing on one leg. Searching the car officers found 4 cans of white Claw in the passenger floorboard, 3 partially full, and 8 more in the trunk. Officers transported the defendant to the hospital for a consensual blood test where she urinated on herself on two occasions.

Sharon Wilder was arrested and charged with driving under the influence-4th offense and an open container violation. Her bond was set at $10,000.
