26-year-old April Bryson was charged with driving while intoxicated May 31, 2020 after side-swiping another car when she told cops she didn’t usually drink that much.
According to the affidavit, officers responded to an accident at 7th Avenue North and Hume Street. On the scene, they found April Bryson, who had hit another vehicle with her car. Bryson was anxious and told the cops, “I usually don’t drink this much.”
Bryson’s eyes were bloodshot and watery and she smelled like alcohol. Right after she was mirandized, she told cops, “I’m not gonna lie, I’m pretty fucked up.” She failed some field sobriety tests. But, officers stopped the remaining tests since she was having so much trouble standing.
April Bryson was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. She was later freed on pre-trial release.
