East Nashville man shoves woman into chair, dumps beer onto her; per report

51-year-old Thomas Halloran was charged with domestic assault after shoving Helen Billings into a chair during a dispute and allegedly throwing a beer onto the woman, per report.

On June 9th, Hellen Billings notified law enforcement of a reported assault. Upon arrival, officers questioned Billings, eyewitnesses, and suspect Thomas Halloran. According to the affidavit, all parties acknowledged a verbal altercation beginning between Billings and Halloran. Halloran reportedly became furious during the dispute, acting upon this by throwing beer onto Billings.

Officers noted that Billings had a wet shirt and the scent of alcohol was coming from her person. After throwing the beer, Halloran proceeded to reportedly push her into a chair with two hands. Billings did not sustain injuries from Halloran’s actions.

Upon questioning, Halloran, the man claimed that Billings had bumped into him, spilling the beer onto her. Halloran also insisted that Billings fell into the chair after bumping into him and that he never shoved her. Informative statements from eyewitnesses resulted in Halloran being taken into custody for domestic assault.

Thomas Halloran was arrested and charged with domestic assault. His bond was set at $1,000.
