Female fugitive caught stowing suspected heroin in body cavity

20-year-old Ashley Ginter was charged with contraband in a penal institution when she stowed suspected heroin in her female body cavity while she was being detained and it was divulged during booking at the county jail.

On June 1st, an outstanding warrant was executed for Ashley Ginter at the Econolodge located at 3414 Percy Priest Drive. According to the affidavit, Ginter stowed a substance believed to be heroin in a body cavity.

An unidentified person observed this and later told officers. Davidson County Corporal Melton accompanied Ginter to a secure room at the jail, where she retrieved the package from her vagina.

Ashley Ginter was arrested and charged with contraband in a penal institution and is currently jailed in lieu of a $5,000 bond.
