Kentucky man with federal warrants found with over 500 grams of heroin

36-year-old Adrian Brown was charged with possession of heroin with intent, felony possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon during a felony, and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia after he was found to have 511 grams of heroin, two digital scales, and $16,990 cash. He was being pursued by U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force who issued federal warrants for selling narcotics.

On June 19th, around 3 pm Midtown Hills Crime Suppression Unit (MHCSU) obtained intelligence from the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force. The information pertained to a defendant, Adrian Brown, who has federal warrants for the selling of narcotics, is staying at 5242 Edmondson Pike Apartment 1022. The MHCSU detectives saw Brown outside of the apartment complex and tried to make contact with him but he headed upstairs to the third floor of the complex instead. Detective headed upstairs and knocked when Brown saw the detective through a partially broken door he ran. They positively identified him and ran after him after he ignored their orders to stop.

He headed towards the back of the apartment where the detectives caught him and found 6 grams of heroin, a handgun, and $2,186 cash on his person. While they were escorting him out of the apartment they did a security sweep of the residence where they found several large totes and duffle bags. A search warrant was issued that helped the unit find 511 grams of heroin, $16,990 cash bundled in rubber bands, and two digital scales with residue on them in the kitchen drawers. Also, found in the bathroom was a ledger with drug dealing information of dates and amounts were listed.

Adrian Brown was arrested and charged with possession of heroin with intent, felony possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon during a felony, and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $101,000.
