28-year-old Hunter Frazier was charged for running away from police with her four-month-old in her arms and then resisting when police caught her, telling them that she was high on methamphetamine. She bit an officer, drew blood, and told police that she saw people that were not there.
On June 1st, police were called in response to the defendant, Hunter Frazier, walking around barefoot with a four-month-old baby in a blanket in the parking lot of an apartment complex located at 550 Harding Place. She began to run when the police made contact with her just to simply ask what was wrong. While running she leapt down a staircase landing on the baby and banging the baby against the wall as she was running. When police caught up to her she continued to resist arrest by kicking, scratching, and biting a police officer’s arm and drew blood.
After being detained she was hobbled in the police vehicle and kicked a handle off of the door. She later admitted to being under the influence of methamphetamine. When interviewed by the police she said that she was paranoid because she saw people that were not there. The baby was medically cleared after being examined by Nashville Fire Department and placed into the father’s custody.
Hunter Frazier was arrested and charged with three accounts of assault on an officer, vandalism, and child endangerment. Her bond was set at $6,500.
