29-year-old Chris Perrine was charged with boating under the influence when an officer halted his vessel after noticing he had beer cans within his reach. Perrine admitted to drinking 3 White Claws.

On June 13th, Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency Officer Joshua Landrum was alerted by a pontoon boat operator on Percy Priest Lake. According to the affidavit, Chris Perrine had Bud Light cans near the steering console and appeared to be holding a can in his hand.

Officer Landrum noted that when he turned his lights on to halt the vessel Perrine passed the can in his hand to a passenger who was already holding a can. Perrine was noticeably intoxicated and admitted, in slurred speech, to drinking three white claws. Officer Landrum observed Perrine struggling to don a life jacket and advised he performed poorly on sobriety tasks.

Chris Perrine was arrested and charged with boating under the influence. He was later freed on pre-trial release.
