60-year-old Frankie Lewis was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon once he brandished a knife outside a Wal-Mart after screaming racial slurs and threatening the security guard.
On June 28th, police arrived at the Wal-Mart located at 2421 Powell Avenue in reference to the defendant, Frankie Lewis chanting, “white lives matter” multiple times. Lewis was being disruptive by offending patrons inside when the security guard addressed Lewis to get him to leave the premises. He began cursing and yelling white lives matter at the employees and the security guard while exiting the building.
Once he was outside he brandished a pocket knife and threatened the security by saying, “C’mon. C’mon. I’m going to kill you” before getting pepper-sprayed by the security. The police arrived and offered for him to receive medical treatment for the pepper spray which he refused. The statements given to the police from the security guard and witnesses all were consistent with each other. While in custody Lewis kept yelling, “he hates n—–s” and “white lives matter.”
Frankie Lewis was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. His bond was set at $15,000.
