39-year-old Erin Rudolph Walton was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after she drove into her boyfriend’s ex-wife with her 10-year-old son in the vehicle.

On June 15th, officers were dispatched to 7925 River Fork Dr in regards to a runaway minor. When law enforcement arrived, a white Cadillac SUV was observed maneuvering towards a woman. The woman, who was later identified as Christy Moore, was idly standing at the edge of a dead-end road known to be the driveway of her ex-husband. The driver, who was identified as Erin Rudolph Walton, decelerated the vehicle with Moore standing in front of the Cadillac, thereby acknowledging where she was located, per report.

Moore proceeded in attempts to enter the passenger side of the SUV, to which Walton reportedly responded by accelerating into the woman, knocking her to the ground. Walton then drove into the driveway of the aforementioned address and was advised by law enforcement to park the vehicle.

Further investigation revealed that the nature between the two parties is due to previous and current relationships. According to the affidavit, Moore is a divorcee of Walton’s current boyfriend. Moore had arrived at the residence in order to pick up her 10-year-old son that she and her ex-husband share custody of. The son was not at the residence when Moore attempted to pick him up but was inside the vehicle while Walton struck the boy’s mother. Moore reportedly sustained an injury to her right arm because of the collision, leading to Nashville Fire Department being contacted in order to tend to her wounds.

Erin Rudolph-Walton was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. Her bond was set at $10,000.
