40-year-old Elmer Perez Paz was charged for child abuse when he kicked his two-year-old daughter in the back causing her to fall face first when she would not stop crying.
On June 29th, the defendant’s, Elmer Perez Paz, a two-year-old daughter was the victim of abuse. In the late afternoon, the daughter would not stop crying even after she was told not to by Perez Paz.
He was seen following the daughter into the living room where he kicked her in the back causing her to fall face-first to the ground. This caused the daughter to immediately scream and cry more intensely. Police did not notice any marks on the child and Perez Paz said that he did not hit her. However, he did threaten to hit her if she did not cry he reported.
Elmer Perez Paz was arrested and charged with child abuse (child 6 years or less.) His bond was set at $40,000.
