56-year-old Van Allison was charged with public intoxication and public indecency when police found him with his pants around his ankles at a bus stop.
On June 30th, close to 5 pm officers saw the defendant, Van Allison, at a bus stop on 1789 Gallatin Pike with his pants around his ankles. When the police made contact with Allison he said that he defecated himself.
They also noticed an aroma of alcohol on him as well as him having slurred speech and unsteady on his feet. After he was read his Miranda rights he admitted to drinking half a pint of bourbon. He was placed into custody out of fear of him being a danger to himself and others.
Van Allison was arrested and charged with public intoxication and public indecency. He was later freed on pre-trial release.
