22-year-old Wilbur Shue was charged with aggravated assault after striking his girlfriend with a handgun and his fists that required her to seek medical attention.
On May 25th, officers were dispatched to the Kirkpatrick Park Apartments located on 407 Kirkpatrick Ave in regards to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, law enforcement eventually made contact with Ronkeivieh Williamson outside of the residence. Williamson informed officers that she had contacted her boyfriend, Wilbur Shue, to come to the apartment and gather his belongings. According to the affidavit, Shue became enraged by the request and began to strike the woman with a closed fist. Shue proceeded to obtain a handgun following the initial assault and reportedly struck her in the back of the head with the weapon.
Williamson suffered injuries from the attack, sustaining a head injury that required further medical attention. She was transported to St. Thomas Midtown Hospital for further observation. Williamson opted to press charges on Shue for the assault.
On July 9th, Wilbur Shue was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. His bond was set at $10,000.
