32-year-old Nicholas Walden was charged with two counts of theft of property and credit card fraud when he stole a man’s credit card in November 2019 and used it at two ATMs and made a purchase totaling over $1,000. He then stole a cell phone from the same man in December 2019 when he asked to borrow it and then ran off.

On November 1st, 2019 William Young contacted police about his credit card being stolen and used at two different ATMs. The BP located at 1908 8th Avenue had a video of the defendant Nicholas Walden and his wife at the time, Falhon Stansbury, using the card. According to the affidavit, Falhon is now deceased.

Between that ATM and another one they used at a Thornton’s on 2815 Lebanon Pike, they withdrew over $1,000 from the card. The only other time it was used was at Victoria’s Secret on $61.13 worth of merchandise. Walden said he was there during the transaction at the ATM but had no clue there was cash being withdrawn from the card.

On December 4th, 2019, Walden was at Young’s residence when he asked if he could use Young’s cell phone. Young reported to the police it was stolen after he noticed that when Walden went to the backroom to use it, he disappeared through a window. The approximate cost of the cell phone is $75.

On July 29th, Nicholas Walden was arrested and charged with two counts of theft of property and credit card fraud. His total bond was set at $3,500.
