Antioch woman caught on camera destroying her long-time friend’s home

28-year-old Shamonta Booker was charged with aggravated burglary when the neighbor of the residence that was burglarized showed police video of Booker entering a home and leaving.

On July 23rd, a video was shown to police by the next-door neighbor of Vicky Brown, where Shamonta Booker broke into Brown’s residence located at 4994 Karen Ray Drive. In the video, it shows Booker arriving at the residence in a newer model white vehicle and entering the house through an unlocked back door.

She was inside the house for seven to eight minutes and then exited and rips up mail from the mailbox then throws it on the ground. Also, it shows her entering both vehicles in the driveway and her throwing items out of the vehicles. Inside the house, after investigation, there were several items destroyed including a gaming system, faucets, and a mirror. The only thing that was missing from the house was a pair of boots, which she was shown holding in the video. Still frames of images taken from the video were shown to Brown, who said that she had known Booker for 15 years, positively identified her as the suspect. Permission was not given to Booker by Brown to enter the home nor to damage or take any property.

On August 27th, Shamonta Booker was arrested and charged with aggravated burglary. Her bond was set at $5,000.
