The two were the defendant, Christopher Mallory, and the victim, Angela Perez, who were in a heated argument. During the argument, police noticed Mallory push and struck Perez twice in the face and called for him to stop. Once Mallory noticed the police he decided to run. He ran through the Poultry Barn to the parking area close to the rear cattle staging area when the officer who was chasing noticed Officer Crowe running with them.

Officer Crowe was able to deploy his taser hitting the defendant as Mallory ran towards him. He began screaming, “I’m sorry” several times as police rolled him over onto his stomach for him to comply with instructions. The officers were also able to contact two carnival witnesses to obtain their statements.

On August 13th, Christopher Mallory was arrested and charged with domestic assault. His bond was set at $2,000.
