67-year-old Brenda Bryant was charged with vandalism after breaking out a window in an attempt to retrieve her food stamp card from someone else’s home.
On August 13th, officers were dispatched to 1807 10th Avenue. They arrived to find a broken window at the front of the home. Brenda Bryant immediately admitted to breaking the window when she was knocking on it.

She claimed that she had knocked on the door but Luther Lewis did not answer, so she proceeded to knock harder on the window. Bryant was trying to get Lewis to come out of the home because she believed he had her food stamp card. Additionally, she pulled the screen out of a different window to knock on that one as well, but that window did not break.
Brenda Bryant was arrested and charged with vandalism. Her bond was set at $1,000.
