56-year-old Phillip Massey was charged with aggravated burglary after he waited for his ex-girlfriend to open her back door and then shoved past her to look for her new boyfriend, per report.

On May 7th, 2018, Heather Pettit called about a domestic disturbance when Phillip Massey unlawfully entered her home. Pettit advised that she and Massey used to be in a relationship. Pettit tells officers that she was asleep when her dogs began barking at the back door which she found strange. When she opened the door to inspect, Massey rushed passed her forcing her across the house into the kitchen table. He aggressively grabbed her by the arms causing bruising after she continuously told him to get out.

Pettit attempted to stop him from going farther into the home by standing in front of him. He then pushed her again making his way down the hall looking into the rooms. A witness, who was not identified, stated that he was in a closet when Massey found him. Pettit further claimed there was no quarrel amongst them supposedly due to the fact that Massey knew he was just a friend.

On August 18th, Phillip Massey was arrested and charged with aggravated burglary. His bond was set at $3,500.
