30-year-old Antonius Carter was charged with three counts of aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a weapon when he threatened his partner and her kids with a gun during an argument.

On August 20th, police arrived at 315 Woodland Street in response to a domestic disturbance. Lavonsaye Roberson was with her children there, and she told police what happened between her and her partner, Antonius Carter, at 108 N 7th St. Roberson told police that she and Carter were in an argument about money when he took her gun, cocked it, and told Roberson he was going to kill her.

Carter was said to then have pointed the gun at Roberson and her two children. Roberson then told her children they needed to leave for a party, fled, and called the police. Officers then went to the location of the dispute and found Carter ducked down in his car attempting not to be seen. Roberson’s gun was found near his feet but denied the story told by Roberson. Carter only said that they argued about the children cleaning up after themselves, and nothing else happened.

Antonius Carter was arrested and charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm. His bond was set at $35,000.
