Intoxicated woman shatters glass jar across roommate’s face

57-year-old Linda Loudon was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon when she was upset because her roommate would not watch television with her so she threw a glass jar full of change and cans of food at him.

On August 15th, police arrived at 400 Cumberland Avenue and spoke to the victim, David Cummings. He stated that he and the defendant, Linda Loudon, live together. Loudon was intoxicated the night before and became upset when he did not watch television with her on the couch. He ignored her several requests to join and when she did not receive a positive response she barged into the bedroom. After verbally berating Cummings, she threw a glass jar full of change that struck him in the face.

As it hit his left cheek it shattered cutting the bridge of his nose and she continued by throwing food cans at him. Three cans were thrown and he was able to block one of them that hit him in the back of his hand. However, the other two struck him on the left side of his face; one in the cheek and the other above his eye. The items left visible red bruises and officers took pictures of his injuries.

Linda Loudon was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Her bond was set at $5,000.
