Man assaults and robs his girlfriend at a homeless camp

23-year-old Nathaniel Phillips was charged with aggravated robbery after shoving his girlfriend to the ground, punching her, and robbing her at knifepoint at a local homeless camp.

On August 13th, officers made the scene at a homeless camp near Anthes Drive and Hermitage Avenue. Once officers arrived, they discovered Alicia Hawkins laying in the dirt noticeably disheveled. She had an abrasion and her left forearm with moderate bleeding. Alisha stated that her boyfriend, Nathaniel Phillips threw her to the ground and punched her repeatedly while she was pinned beneath him.

Alicia told police that during the assault Phillips pulled a knife out and placed it against her throat. Then he stole all of the cash that she had in her pockets and fled the scene. Officers will be prosecuting on Alishia’s behalf.

Nathaniel Phillips was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery. His bond was set at $25,000.
