Man booked on outstanding assault warrant after getting caught speeding down I-40

26-year-old Joshua Vaughn was charged with domestic assault and driving without a license after he was caught speeding on I-40 and was found to have no driver’s license. Police discovered he had an outstanding warrant for assault.

On August 26th, 2019, at 629 Sylvan Street, Lashonda Hadley got into an altercation with her ex-boyfriend Joshua Vaughn regarding something he had seen on her phone. The argument escalated when Vaughn slapped Hadley on the right side of her face leaving visible injuries and pulled some of her hair out.

He then grabbed her right hand and wrenched it to where it caused pain and swelling. When Vaughn left the scene, Hadley called the police. According to the affidavit, he has prior domestic assault charges from 2015. On August 11th, 2020, Vaughn was stopped for speeding on Interstate 40 with no driver’s license.

Joshua Vaughn was arrested and charged with domestic assault and driving without a license. His total bond was set at $4,000.
