22-year-old Rene Mendez was charged with two counts of aggravated assault when he strangled a man until he pooped his pants and chased two people with a beer bottle.
On August 20th, officers came to 311 Natchez Ct in response to a call of an assault. When authorities arrived they were told that Rene Mendez and his coworker, Antonio Mendoza, had gotten into an argument about who made more money. Mendez became irate and grabbed Antonio by his neck and started strangling him in the thorn bushes beside the parking lot. Mendez proceeded to strangle Antonio such that he defecated in his pants.
Leybi Mendez-Vasquez, Mendez’s cousin, then said he pulled Mendez off of Antonio. Antonio then got up and punched Mendez in the face multiple times. In response, Mendez chased Antonio and his cousin through the parking lot with a broken beer bottle. Mendez says he remembers the fight, but not who hit first. Officers identified Mendez as the primary aggressor and he was taken into custody.
Rene Mendez was arrested and charged with aggravated assault by strangulation with intent and aggravated assault with intent. His bond was set at $40,000.
