59-year-old Norman Carney was charged with domestic assault when he came home drunk and punched his stepson in the face twice during an argument, per report.
On August 20th, officers were called to 3416 Gwen Drive for a domestic disturbance. When officers arrived they made contact with Kenneth Coffey, Norman Carney’s stepson. He stated that Carney came home from work and had been drinking and a verbal altercation led to Carney punching him in the face twice in the yard.
The officer observed that Coffey had a slight red mark on his left eye that was consistent with being punched. Melanie Dempsey, a witness of the altercation corroborated Coffey’s allegations against his stepfather.
Norman Carney was arrested and charged with domestic assault. His bond was set at $2,000.
