Nashville man caught taking $50 in items from Walmart attempts to run off

33-year-old Bryan Travis was charged with burglary and resisting arrest when he was caught trying to steal $50 worth of items from Walmart on Nolensville Pike.

On August 25th, officers were dispatched to Walmart at 5824 Nolensville Pike in which Bryan Travis was in custody for shoplifting. The loss prevention team stated that Travis knew that he was not allowed to be on the premises.

Walmart also provided a receipt of the total cost of the items that Travis was attempting to steal. The total of the merchandise was $50. Travis attempted to flee on foot from officers after he was told that he would be charged with a felony. He was caught after a brief foot pursuit.

Bryan Travis was arrested and charged with burglary and resisting arrest. He was later freed on pre-trial release.
