Registered sex offender violates his mandate to stay away from children twice

34-year-old David Hamman was charged with two counts of sex offender residential/victim violation for spending the night in a house with a minor present and being within 1,000 feet of a park.

On August 2nd, David Hamman, who is a registered sex offender, knowingly violated the Tennessee Sexual Offender and Violent Sexual Offender Registration, Verification, and Tracking Act of 2004.

He did so by sitting idly within 1,000 feet of the public park at Percy Priest Lake. This is a violation due to him not having a reason or a relationship involving custody of or responsibility for a child or any other specific or legitimate reason for being there. He later violated again by staying overnight at 205 Bridgeway Avenue Apartment 4 in Old Hickory while a minor was present.

David Hamman was arrested and charged with two counts of sex offender residential/victim violation. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $10,000 bond.
