19-year-old Elijah Parkerson was charged with aggravated robbery and theft of property in seperate incidents involving the theft of a Honda Civic in March and the theft of a man’s wallet at a gas station in June.
On March 6th, according to Hannah Vanwuyckhuyse, her 2014 blue Honda Civic was stolen from 313 Duke Street. At the time of the report, Hannah informed the police that she left her keys inside of the car and her security camera did not capture the theft. The victim’s vehicle was then entered into NCIC as a stolen vehicle. On March 14th, the vehicle was discovered near 622 Dry Creek Road in Goodlettsville. At the time of the recovery, the car was abandoned. The same vehicle was suspected to be used in a fatal shooting that took place the previous day. Due to that incident, the vehicle was towed to the crime lab unit for further testing. On April 3rd, a fingerprint and a blue Gatorade bottle were found inside the vehicle. The fingerprint and Gatorade bottle were later discovered to belong to Elijah Parkerson.
On June 28th, officers responded to an aggravated robbery at the Citgo Gas Station located at 3815 Nolensville Pike. Edgar Ronaly was pumping gas when he was approached by two males with guns. The suspects stole his wallet and fled the scene in a tan sedan. Police viewed the security camera footage and determined there were three people involved in the robbery. There was a getaway driver and two suspects with guns that committed the actual robbery. Two of the three suspects went into the gas station before the robbery took place.
When the camera footage was sent to Metro Police, they identified Parkerson as one of the suspects that participated in this robbery. Two days later, a gold Honda Accord was found to be stolen, had Parkerson’s fingerprints inside, and one of the other suspects was found to be driving the car. The video from the gas station shows Parkerson was the driver of the vehicle during the incident and drove the two other suspects away after they committed the robbery.
On August 18th, Elijah Parkerson was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery and theft of property. His bond was set at $27,500.
