33-year-old Tawanta Crutcher was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon when she accused her boyfriend of cheating and attacked him with a shard of glass and a knife while he was in the shower.
On August 15th, Officer Norris responded to a call at 2300 Patterson Road to investigate a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, contact was made with Charles Brooks, who advised that he was in the shower when Tawanta Crutcher came into the bathroom.
Crutcher confronted Brooks, claiming that he had cheated in her. He stated during the incident she lunged at him with a piece of glass and then stabbed him with a knife. Brooks was then taken to the hospital by his aunt. Officers noted that Brooks had lacerations on his left hip and right forearm.
Tawanta Crutcher was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Her bond was set at $15,000.
