When Tommie told her that she did not have any money to give her, Rosie argued with her in the kitchen. Rosie picked up a kitchen chair and threatened to hit her with it which placed Tommie in fear for her life. She said that she had to have the neighbor call the police because she could not remember the number. Police then prosecuted on her behalf with an agreement to do so from Tommie.

Rosie Ewing was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. Her bond was set at $3,500.
