27-year-old Omar Fierro was charged with domestic assault and vandalism after he jumped on his aunt, punched and kicked her, then took a stepping stone and threw it through her car window.
On September 5th, Officer Jason Hees was dispatched to 4649 Artelia Drive on a possible domestic call. Officer Hees made contact with Maria Marrufo who stated that her nephew, Omar Fierro had assaulted her and damaged her vehicle. Maffufo said that Fierro got upset and pushed Marrufo to the ground. Fierro got on top of her and begin to slap her and hitting her. Marrufo stated that she tried to block his punches with her forearms. Marrufo said that Fierro slapped her in the face several times and then kicked her when he got off her. Marrufo’s daughter came into the kitchen and witnessed part of the fight.
Fierro was leaving as Marrufo was calling the police. Marrufo told officers that Fierro had picked up a stepping stone and threw it through the back window of her vehicle. Officer Hees observed red marks on Marrufo’s face and arms consistent with the assault that she described. Officer Hees also noted that the rear window was shattered and the stepping stone was inside the vehicle.
On September 15th, Omar Fierro was arrested and charged with domestic assault and vandalism. His bond was set at $5,000.
