35-year-old Charles McCutcheon was charged with domestic assault & evading arrest almost a year after his estranged wife reported he had assaulted her after blaming her for him being shot. He ran & hid in his apartment when MPD found him.
On November 22nd, 2019, Metro Nashville Police arrived at 314 Wilburn Street in response to a domestic disturbance. At the time, Virginia Lucas-Holland told officers that the day prior Charles McCutcheon blamed her for him getting shot on November 16th. While driving on Ellington Parkway, he slapped her chest and hit her forearm, bruising her. Once they arrived at Lucas-Holland’s home, McCutcheon was said to have kicked his estranged wife in the upper right thigh.
Nearly a year later on August 21st, authorities were patrolling the area of Riverchase Apartments when they recognized McCutcheon and were aware of his outstanding warrant. Police made an attempt to stop him in a stairwell and informed him that he had an outstanding warrant. McCutcheon bolted into his apartment, closed the door, and refused to answer. He shouted at authorities through the window, “I don’t even know who McCutcheon is,” and continued to refuse to speak with authorities. An additional warrant was created for evading arrest.
Charles McCutcheon was arrested and charged with evading arrest and domestic assault. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $4,000 bond.
