27-year-old Cynthia Vaughn was charged with domestic assault and contraband in a penal facility after she was placed into custody for punching her boyfriend in the eye and police found syringes loaded with heroin during a search in booking.
On September 24th, close to 1 a.m. Metro Nashville Police Officers responded to 210 Cross Timbers Drive and spoke with Freebody Blay about being assaulted by his girlfriend, Cynthia Vaughn. Blay stated that he let Vaughn use his cellphone and she would not let him have it back. Eventually, he grabbed it back from her and then went into the bedroom to lie down.
After he lied down Vaughn followed him into the room and punched him in his left eye. The officer reported that there was swelling on his left eye consistent with his statement. She was then placed into custody and transported to booking where a search was performed and the officers found two heroin loaded syringes in a tampon inside of her vagina.
Cynthia Vaughn was arrested and charged with domestic assault and contraband in a penal facility. Her bond was set at $12,500.
