53-year-old Keith McDonald was charged with aggravated robbery after holding a man at knifepoint in the woods near R Market on 40th Avenue and Albion Street.

On September 3rd, Metro Nashville Police were speaking with Kellen Ross about an unrelated incident when he told authorities that the day before he had been robbed. Ross said he was in the area of Tennessee Village West Apartments so that he could use drugs for a few days. He was near the market at 40th Avenue and Albion Street when he met up with Keith McDonald and another only named “Fredericka.” Ross asked them both if they knew where to get drugs, and McDonald said that “Bae Bae” was in the cut through the woods next to the market and he could sell him some.

McDonald guided Ross into the woods and asked if he had money. Ross produced $80-$100 and claimed that at that point McDonald then took out a knife and threatened him. Ross let him take the money and leave. In a police line up, Ross identified McDonald in around five seconds, and when questioned McDonald admitted to speaking with Ross near the market and in the woods on the day of the robbery.

On September 17th, Keith Mcdonald was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $25,000 bond.
