35-year-old Hope Leach was charged with domestic assault after she began arguing with her lover because she did not want to have sex and reportedly tased him when she thought that he was going to throw his phone at her.

On September 21st, Metro Nashville Police Officers arrived at America’s Best Value Inn located at 2403 Brick Church Pike. They spoke with Hope Leach who said that her lover, Ron Joslin, argued with her. She said that it started because she did not want to have sex then he raised his hand as if he was going to throw his phone at her. At that time she stated that she activated her taser but it did not touch him then he forced her onto the couch and held her down to take her cellphone and taser. Officers noted in the report that she had no injuries other than a broken fingernail. Joslin, however, stated that Leach argued with him about money that he owed her and she threatened to tase him if he did not give it to her. He further stated that she tased him several times before he got her phone and taser away from her in self-defense. The officers noted that Joslin had a cut on his upper lip and held his abdomen due to the tasing. America’s Best Value Inn security footage showed Leach tasing Joslin several times then entering into the room to grab his things. After he exited the room it depicted Leach coming out after him and then trying to push him down the stairs.

Hope Leach was arrested and charged with domestic assault. Her bond was set at $1,500.
