23-year-old Gerrite Jones was charged with aggravated burglary when his ex-girlfriend told authorities he broke into her apartment by removing the air conditioner from the window and then proceeded to beat on her.
On June 27th, Marshea Teasley reported that 3 days prior, on June 24th, her ex-boyfriend, Gerrite Jones, forced his way into her apartment by removing the air conditioner from the window.
After removing the air conditioner he climbed through the window and began punching Marshea all over her body, bruising her left leg. He then left the scene. Marshea stated that she did not call 911 because she was in fear that he would retaliate.
On August 31st, Gerritt Jones was arrested and charged with aggravated burglary. He is jailed in lieu of a $10,000 bond.
