Man jailed after officers find him behind a gas station with 18 grams of crack-cocaine

23-year-old Justin Morris was charged with possession of cocaine with intent and unlawful drug paraphernalia when 18 grams of cocaine were recovered after officers saw him parked behind a closed gas station.

On September 1st, Metro Nashville Police Officers initiated a traffic stop when they observed a suspicious vehicle in the back parking lot of a closed gas station. Officers discovered Justin Morris alone in his vehicle. They also observed a small bag of a white substance and two small copper spoons in plain view on the floor of Morris’ vehicle.

Officers escorted him from the vehicle and he gave verbal consent to a search. The search yielded a bag full of smaller bags stuffed inside a carton of cigarettes. The substance had the appearance of crack-cocaine and field-tested positive for cocaine and had a total weight of 18 grams.

Justin Morris was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine with intent and unlawful drug paraphernalia. He is jailed in lieu of a $5,000 bond.
