51-year-old Silviu Leseanu was charged with child abuse after “spanking” his juvenile daughter by slapping her in the face multiple times.
On August 31st, Metro Nashville Police officers responded to a domestic situation at 5045 Mclendon Drive. The situation was between Silviu Leseanu and his 17-year-old daughter. On the way to the location, the officers found the juvenile walking barefoot, with a red face, and obviously upset. She told the police that she had an altercation with her mother about doing school work when Leseanu stepped in.
The juvenile was sat on her father’s bed discussing her inappropriate response to her mother when he slapped her in the face with an open palm multiple times. Leseanu told officers she rolled her eyes and said that she was not afraid of a spanking, so he spanked her. Then she talked back and he “lost control” and spanked her again. Officers asked Leseanu to describe spanking and he said that he slapped her in the face with an open hand twice, and slapped her torso once as well.
Silviu Leseanu was arrested and charged with child abuse. His bond was set at $1,000.
