57-year-old Edwin Reed was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon when he threatened a man with a gun stating

On September 7th, Metropolitan Nashville Police Officer Andrew McCarron responded to 516 Achievement Drive in regards to someone threatening a man while pointing a gun at him. According to the report, earlier in the evening, Edwin Reed’s dog was off of its leash at 480 Annex Avenue, Charlotte Park Elementary School. Hoangan Nguyen was walking with his dog on a leash at the school as well when Mr. Reed’s dog ran up to Mr. Nguyen.

Mr. Nguyen reportedly fearing for his safety struck the dog, so the two men exchanged words and went separate ways. Reed later went to Mr. Nguyen’s home and got out of his vehicle in front of Nguyen’s driveway where he was standing. Reed pulled a gun out from his vehicle, racked it, and pointed it at Nguyen stating, “If you touch my dog, I’m going to shoot you and your dog.”

Edwin Reed was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. His bond was set at $10,000.
