29-year-old William Washington was arrested and charged with domestic assault and vandalism after he followed his partner around during the day, smashed her phone, and threw a dog crate at her.
On September 2nd, Metro Nashville Police arrived at 6700 Cabot Drive in response to a domestic disturbance. Authorities talked with Kamai Graves, who told them that she was in an argument with William Washington about her going out with friends. While Graves was out, Washington followed her to make sure she was going where she had told him.
Graves’ phone died while she was with friends, and so she returned home. Washington came back after Graves and looked through her phone. Washington seemingly found something that upset him, and he smashed her phone against the dresser. Afterward, the phone was beyond repair. Washington pushed Graves into the wall where she hit the back of her head. He also threw a dog crate at her. During the kerfuffle, her shirt was ripped and Washington left the area on foot.
On September 18th, William Washington was arrested and charged with domestic assault and vandalism. His bond was set at $4,000.
