Manchester woman threatens boyfriend with knife; he photographed the incident

40-year-old Brenda Rivera was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill when she threatened her boyfriend at the time with a knife. He supplied authorities with a photograph of the incident.

On July 30th, Ricardo Llamas-Barajas went to the Family Safety Center at 610 Murfreesboro Pike and asked to speak with a detective from the Domestic Violence Unit. Ricardo reported that on May 17th, his girlfriend at the time, Brenda Rivera, was mad at him and threatened him at his Cedarmont Drive residence.

Ricardo stated that he was outside of his residence when Brenda approached him with a knife and pointed it at him. Ricardo quickly took a picture of her threatening him and told her that if she came any closer he would defend himself. Brenda then left in her vehicle. Ricardo provided evidence of the photo.

On August 31st, Brenda Rivera was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. Her bond was set at $7,500.
