21-year-old Stefvon Murphy Jr. was charged with possession of marijuana and MDMA, paraphernalia, and possession of a weapon during a felony when he admitted to an officer that he had marijuana in his pocket and a gun under his seat.

On September 14th, Wilson County Sheriff’s Sergeant Chris Keyes observed a vehicle with no tag and attempted to catch up to it while the driver was making evasive actions. The vehicle then pulled into a driveway at 326 Cumberland Drive and turned off the lights. The driver never exited the vehicle so Sgt. Keyes waited a few minutes before approaching the vehicle and finding the driver, Stefvon Murphy, lying in the seat attempting to hide. Sgt. Keyes reported that he smelled the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle.

A digital scale was also found in the vehicle and once in booking, four pills identified at MDMA were found in Murphy’s front pants pocket.

Stefvon Murphy Jr. was arrested and charged with possession of a schedule VI drug (marijuana) for resale, possession of a schedule I drug (MDMA), possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a felony. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $53,000 bond.
