21-year-old Kreig Holmes was charged with theft of a vehicle, two counts of assault on an officer, and driving on a suspended license after being caught driving a stolen vehicle, ran into a patrol car, and then maced two officers with bear spray while being detained.

On September 15th, Officers Chisholm and Pemberton, who were riding together at the time, pulled behind a white Volkswagen Jetta on Lafayette Street near Charles E Davis Boulevard. Officers ran the tag as it pulled into the parking lot of 125 Lafayette Street. The vehicle came back as stolen, so officers pulled into the parking lot and stopped directly behind it.

Officer Chisholm gave commands to the driver to turn the vehicle off and step out. Kreig Holmes, who was driving the vehicle, put it in reverse and backed into the officers’ patrol vehicle. Officer Chisholm then put his vehicle in drive and pushed the vehicle against the pole she was parked in front of in order to stop it from moving. Holmes then got out with a can of bear mace and sprayed both Officers Chisholm and Pemberton. Officer Chisholm then tased Kreig, who fell back in the vehicle before being placed into custody.

Kreig Holmes was arrested and charged with theft of a vehicle, two counts of assault on an officer, and driving on a suspended license. Total bond was set at $33,500.
