24-year-old Mariah Nolen was charged with burglary after she was caught trying to steal almost $43 worth of items from Walmart by hiding them in her jacket.
On September 24th, Metro Nashville officers arrived at Walmart located at 4040 Nolensville Pike in response to a shoplifting call. Walmart’s security witnessed Mariah Nolen concealing $42.72 worth of merchandise in her jacket and attempted to walk out of the building.
Police were notified that Nolen had previously signed a Notification of Restriction from Property. Nolen told officers that she went to the store to steal items for another person and said she remembers signing the notification, but only thought it was valid for one year.
Mariah Nolen was arrested and charged with burglary. Her bond was set at $200.
