29-year-old Christina Tippens was charged with domestic assault causing bodily injury after hitting and jumping on her mother, and then attempting to hit her brother with a stick.
On September 3rd, Metro Davidson Police Officers were dispatched to 1724 17th Avenue for a domestic assault. Christina Tippens and her mother, Ruth Tippens began to argue when Christina became violent. Ruth told officers that Christina started throwing objects around the house and when she attempted to stop her, Christina physically jumped on her mother.
Ruth’s son had to physically remove Christina off of his mother. Once the son had separated them, Christina then grabbed a stick and began to swing it at her brother but did not make contact. Ruth complained about rib pain and was taken to the hospital.
Christina Tippens was arrested and charged with domestic assault with bodily injury. She is currently jailed in lieu of a $1,500 bond.
