37-year-old Holly Bluew was charged with domestic assault after she kicked and punched her girlfriend in the face when she told her she needed to “sober up” at Super 8 Motel.

On September 16th, Metro Nashville Police responded to Mapco Market at 1090 Murfreesboro Pike in regards to a domestic disturbance. Officers observed injury to Welsh’s cheek, eye, and lip that she stated Bluew caused. Welsh advised police she and Bluew were drinking in the hotel room when an argument broke out. Welsh stated Bluew became upset when she mentioned Bluew should “sober up.” Welsh stated her girlfriend immediately became physical and began to strike her in the face multiple times with a closed fist causing her to fall off of the bed.

Welsh then advised police Bluew kicked her in the face a few times causing her lip to bust. Once Bluew finally stopped assaulting her, she waited for her girlfriend to fall asleep and left the hotel room to contact the police. When contact was made with Bluew she gave statements that contradicted the physical evidence. Due to the evidence presented and the couple’s statements, Bluew was determined to be the primary aggressor.

Holly Bluew was arrested and charged with domestic assault. She is currently jailed in lieu of a $2,500 bond.
