61-year-old Jessica Carney was charged with domestic assault when she attacked her boyfriend for not giving her $20 to buy crack cocaine.
On May 31st, Metro Nashville Police Officer James Wray responded to a domestic disturbance at 2558 Highland Trace Drive. Upon arrival, Officer Wray made contact with Rodney Barry who advised that early in the morning he and his girlfriend, Jessica Carney, got into an argument about her drug use. The argument occurred at Jessica’s residence at 3126 Cloverwood Drive.
Rodney stated that when he refused to give Jessica $20 to purchase crack cocaine, she attacked him while he was lying down. He advised that she jabbed and punched him in the chest multiple times causing visible scratches that Officer Wray observed.
On September 14th, Jessica Carney was arrested and charged with domestic assault. Her bond was set at $2,500.
