32-year-old James Gutierrez was charged with theft of property, credit card fraud, and burglary of a motor vehicle after his accomplice gave a statement to police implicating him in a burglary and credit card theft in two different counties.

Sometime between December 3rd and December 19th, Ronald Doyle’s truck located at Rhythm Dodge Dealership on 2210 North Gallatin Pike was burglarized. James Gutierrez and Jason Hunter entered Doyle’s truck and stole numerous credit, debit, and Tennessee identification cards, electronic devices, handgun ammunition, tools, and other personal items. Another one of the stolen credit cards was used by Jason Hunter in Sumner County where he was arrested for fraudulent use of a credit card. Both men appeared in video footage showing them using the credit card in Sumner County. Hunter was arrested and during an interview admitted that he and Gutierrez had burglarized Doyle’s vehicle one night when they were walking by the dealership looking for unlocked vehicles. Hunter’s statement that was given to detectives, matched the details of the case.

On September28th, James Gutierrez was arrested and charged with theft of property $2500 or more, credit card fraud greater than $1000, and burglary of a motor vehicle. He is jailed in lieu of a $16,000 bond.
