Felony charge dropped after former informant lies to police about man he brought to his room

43-year-old Bryan Fulkerson was charged with false report after calling 911 in regard to an aggressive “stranger” that locked himself inside of his room that was proven to be someone Fulkerson knew and willfully let inside.

On October 17th, Metro Nashville Police Officer Crockett Bruce responded to Club Wyndham Nashville located at 2415 McGavock Pike. The report was for a stranger that locked himself in Bryan Fulkerson‘s room. Upon arrival, contact was made with Fulkerson who stated a stranger had come to his door and asked to enter to escape the cold.

Fulkerson then advised police the man proceeded to force entry into his home and stole Fulkerson’s phone from him. When the man entered the room Fulkerson stated that he exited the room and the man locked him out. Fulkerson insisted that he did not know the man in his room. Officers had to utilize many different services to handle the situation safely and properly. During further investigation, police found out through text messages that Fulkerson not only knew the “stranger,” but picked him up and willfully allowed him access to his bedroom.

Bryan Fulkerson was arrested and charged with false report-to obstruct or hinder. District Attorney dropped the charges and he was released.
